It's all about... power-obsessed egoists, chaos, love, exclusion, racism, environmental destruction and a glimmer of hope in a dying world. There are also acoustic cover versions of musical heroes like The Smashing Pumpkins, Del Amitri, Billy Bragg or the Black Eyed Peas.
Jörg Klotzbach (57) from Sonsbeck (Germany) onthe Lower Rhine started out in his twenties as a guitarist in various rock bands in Duisburg and Mülheim an der Ruhr (KRASS, Look No Sheep!) and was already writing songs for his music
projects back then.
At the end of the 90s he changed sides of the mixing desk and has been working as an event technician ever since. But making music was missing and so the JIP Band was formed in 2011, initially with guitar, piano and singer. In 2015 it became a solo project (vocals, guitar and cajon) with changing guest musicians.
JIP songs are political, socially critical and also personal, the english lyrics want to shake you up, empathize and make you think.

Jörg is a passionate live musician and likes it to be unusual. Venues have been "The Bund" in Shanghai, punk festivals, freeway parking lots, a retirement home, Fridays for Future demonstrations, a church, the Südsee (in Xanten), forgotten places in the Corona lockdown, the Reichstag meadow in Berlin and clubs in Paris and Beijing.
The JIP Band special guests will be on the road with the WAITING TO BURN tour from the end of 2023.
All proceeds from the tour will be donated to Sea Shepherd.
Do not miss!
